own a photography business

What Would Owning a Photography Business Mean to You?

own a photography businessSo, you want to run a photography business of your very own.

This is great, and that’s what we’re here for at Hobby to Pro Photo – to help provide you with what you need to do that.

But, how badly do you want it? Are you willing to do what it takes to get there?

You can have access to all of the information in the world to take you from Point A to Point B, but without commitment to actually implement that information, you will unfortunately stay stuck where you are.

Just like with any other area of life – whether it be weight loss, dating, or acquiring a new skill – plenty of people say they want to reach a goal, but never follow through.

It’s the harsh truth, but I’m only saying this because my job is to help you make that commitment and achieve your dreams.

So, speaking of dreams, my first question is to ask…

…What would having your own photography business mean to you?

What would reaching your goal of launching your own business really mean?

To help get the ball rolling, I’ll go first! Here’s what running my own photography business over the last 20 years has meant to me:

  • Flexibility – I get to make my own work hours and schedule around hobbies, trips and anything else that comes up
  • Career Pride – The pride that comes with being my own boss
  • Family – I’m able to spend more time with my family – enjoying meals and quality time together
  • Financial freedom – My revenue as a photography business owner is enough to support my lifestyle and provide for vacations, dinners out, and activities. In other words, I don’t have to stress about finances, and I can enjoy the things I love without guilt
  • Career Joy – The feeling I get waking up everyday knowing I get to do what I love!

How about you – is your list similar at all? Maybe you already have some of these things in your life, or maybe you don’t. Either way, I bet there are a few things that you simply dream of experiencing.

Well, today I’m here to say it’s time to stop dreaming. I’ve been able to achieve the things that are important to me because I finally decided that I didn’t want to look back one day and have regrets.

To me, that is the scariest thought – to believe that having the life you imagine just might not happen. This was enough to push me to start taking action.

Do you feel that way too?

If so, today I’m inviting you simply make the commitment to get started

You don’t have to understand how to start yet – just make the decision that you will start this photography business and will not let anything get in your way.

Over the next couple of weeks, I’m going to be sending you a new series on the how-to of getting started.

And not only how to start – but how to be successful in obtaining whatever it means to you to have your own photography business.
